Grandfather Birth Register Help

Hi all, I have unexpected found totally new tree branch, but at the moment am trying to sort a mystery out. My grandfather passed away in Glamorgan, Wales in 1970. He was born 27 Aug 1926, but I cannot find his birth on Ancestry. But I can only find his death certificate :( His name is Cyril Desmond SHORT. Born in Pontypridd if I remember rightly. Anyone can help me in finding his birth please?

Thanks for that all :D All I could find on Ancestry was his death and his marriage to my grandma Joan. Thanks so much for the help on finding it, second pair of fresh eyes is always better than a tired one.

Jim is the marriage of who Sheppard married? I couldn't quite understand the info, sorry. I'm hoping I can now find out who my grandfather brothers were so I can connect the dots up.

Hi, yes Clara Sheppard married Frederick Short.

Brothers James H (registered SeptQ 1927) and Donald (MarQ 1934), both in Pontypridd, mother's maiden name Sheppard.

KENNETH :D There's thee dot I needed to join up, cos this new family root I found was Kenneth had a son called Ken (Kenny possible) and it was this Ken that had children including Richard Short, but this new family root totally baffled me. And you just connected the dots up :D :D  ;D
