This becomes more interesting. William Wardle , my grandfather told us that his half brothers went to live in Texas and wanted William to go with them but he refused saying he needed to stay to look after his mother. I believe some of the surviving family came over to Congleton in the past few years looking for family members I do not know who he was but was I believe in the U.S. Military. Eliza Doe Pearson is buried in Florida. In the 1841 census it shows Samuel Pearson
Fanny his wife, Fanny a daughter plus 6 siblings this was posted by someone from Rootschat looking for Stratford Doherty in 2009 which is why I wanted to look into my family tree further. Thank you all for your help , Polly

When you say half brothers - are you referring to Pearson children?  If so, and the Wardle children were 'acknowledged', then it would be very interesting to get Samuel Pearson's will!

That's a thought but how do I access that info, ? I so appreciate your help thank you. As far as I am aware my Wardle family lived in a property funded by Samuel but I doubt if he left them any money.

Take a look at the following link

I'm not sure if this is the correct way to order a Will as I've never done so myself -

Using this search https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/#wills
click Wills and Probate 1858 - 1996
enter Surname Pearson 1903 click search
4 pages returned Pearson go to Page 3 scroll down to
Folio number 1015
Pearson Samuel of 1 West Bank Terrace Holgate York died 4 August 1903
Probate London 29 August to Anne Jane Pearson

Enter the details in the box opposite then click add to basket

Hopefully someone will be able to let you know if this is the correct way to find a Will
before you spend any money!!!

Hello, I have been reading these chats and I am directly related to the Pearsons as Julia Pearson (AKA Samuel Pearson's granddaughter) is my great great great grandmother, and I have done a whole family tree on ancestry and my grandad also did sooo much research so I am happy to help you! :) You made this post quite a while ago so I don't know if you will reply but if you do I can share the family tree with you.
Best wishes,
Kiera
