George Smy born 1862 in Iken, Suffolk

I am trying to trace the family of my great grandfather George Smy born in Iken, Suffolk in 1862/1864.  George married Jenny Searle in Grimsby in 1888.  He ran away to sea at the age of 13.  Any information on his family would be much appreciated.

1881 census - all children b Sudborn except Mary Ann.  All children shown as Smy but Edwin's birth was registered as Smy March qtr 1876 and Mary Ann's as Smy  in March 1879 so neither can be William's children
