The time of birth usually only appears on the birth certificates of twins, and other multiple births.

Can you not ask your parents?

Welcome to Rootschat, Nickoline. Lots of the members here will have no idea of where Kells is but I'm taking a guess that it might be in Ireland? If so, there are 3 towns of the name (Antrim, Kilkenny and Meath) as well as several townlands called Kells.

Do you have a copy of your birth certificate? full copy (with names of parents, etc.) not the short one.

If it's not on your birth certificate and you were born at home- was there a doctor or midwife in attendance who might have made a note of the time?

I do recognise the "need to know" about the time of birth  :)

I was born at the end of May in 1942 and I understand that, at the time, there was some doubt as to which date should be attributed to my arrival.  It was "double summer time" and so I assume that I was born somewhere around midnight  :o

BUT, I'm here and still causing chaos  ::)  :-X
