Welcome to Rootchat.

What exactly do you need help with?

There are a lot of Henry Taylor who died in 1924, but this one could fit

September quarter 1924

Taylor    Henry    70
H.Hempstead    3a   692

On this Certificate  3A 692 it shows him as a female not male, so I am not sure that this is the correct
Certificate.
I would like to know where he is buried in Hemel Hempstead, and I wish to prove the link to my Great Great Great Grandfather Thomas Taylor.
This is the first time I have used Rootschat

Where did you get the 1854 Hitchin birth from, I can't see it on Freebmd?

We have a problem here as that Henry was the son of a William, but was the only one born about that time in Hitchin.

Folley, Hitchin, Hertfordshire

William   Taylor   Head    48       Agricultural Labourer   Stevenage, Hertfordshire,
Sarah   Taylor   Wife       49                                       Hitchin, Hertfordshire
George   Marshall   Son In Law   Unmarried    16       Agricultural Labourer   Hitchin,
John   Marshall   Son In Law       13       Agricultural Labourer                           Hitchin
Henry   Taylor   Son    6       Scholar                                              Hitchin
John   Taylor   Nephew   Unmarried    25       Agricultural Labourer   Hertfordshire

Son in law would be the same as step son

Could you say when and where his son, your Great Grandfather, was born, and his name, just so we can confirm him in the censuses?

Thanks

Sorry if I have got it wrong

My Father was John Hubert Taylor born in 1920 Sevenoaks and died in 1999 Oxford.
My Grandfather Stanley Hubert Taylor born in 1894 in Harlow and died in 1964 Oxford.
My Great grand father Henry Taylor born in 1854 or 1855 in Hitchin (as far as I know) died in 1924
Hemel Hempstead.
My Great Great grand father was Thomas Taylor born in 1817 in Lincoln died in 1877 ?
My Great Great Great Grand father was William Taylor born in 1794 in Herefordshire.

If this helps you to help me in anyway I would be most gratefull.

Hi, before we start going too far into this, can you tell us which of these you know for certain ie have certificates that you are sure are correct.

As I said earlier the problem is there seems to be only one Henry Taylor born in Hitchin in 1854/55 and he doesn't have a father Thomas.
