Rose Ann Heaviside(s)
« on: Friday 07 August 15 12:44 BST (UK) »
I am looking for the birth parents of Rose Ann Heaviside(s) born 1882 in Darlington.  I have her in 1901 and in 1911 after she had married Frederick William Lynn.  I don't need any info going forward.  In 1901 she is a lodger in Frederick Lynn's house with her child and an elderly Parkin Heaviside.  I am not sure if Parkin and his wife Hannah are her parents or not as I cannot find any of the family in 1891.  Would appreciate some fresh eyes on this please.

Welcome to RootsChat  :)

I can't see her in 1891 and she wasn't living with Parkin and his wife either below.

I wonder if this family is linked

1891
32 Thistle Green Stockton on Tees
William Heavisides 33 shipyard labourer
Mgt 30
Mgt 10
William 6
George 3.   All bn Darlington

Who does Rose Ann name as her father when she marries?

Getting her birth cert will be the most reliable way of determining her parents.

Following the censuses back, I think this William isa son of Parkin and Hannah.

So if Rose Ann is a child of William and Margaret, then Parkin is her grandfather.

Not much coming up under Conifer
I suspect Margaret was actually Margaret Conafray, can be seen on 1871 with parents John and Bridget and loads of siblings including a Rosey.

But looking at John and Bridget in 1891, Rose Ann Heaviside isnt with them either.

Thank you so much everyone for trying.  Unfortunately the friend who this tree belongs to is a mature student so any certificate purchases are out of the question until she graduates and begins earning again.  So it will be a waiting game.

Parkin/Parker HEAVISIDE(S) pre-1891 Census:

C 1861, with wife Hannah 27,  & sons Henry J (5),  William (4) & George (2)
      RG 9; Piece: 3682; Folio: 6; Page: 6
C 1871, with sons Henry (15), William (14) & George (12), and dau Mary (9). Says 'married'. Wife not there.
      RG10; Piece: 4882; Folio: 11; Page: 22;
C 1881, with son George (22) & dau Polly (19) both unm. Still listed as married. Wife not there.
      RG11; Piece: 4885; Folio: 90; Page: 26; as P. HEVERSIDES. 17 Mount St.

Trying to find out what happened to daughter Mary (Polly)...thinking if Rose Ann was her illegitimate daughter, and Mary later married....Rose Ann could be down as another surname in 1891?

But not having luck tracking her past 1881!

Cheers
