BMD in South Africa re William Rowland
« on: Sunday 09 August 15 18:18 BST (UK) »
I have found records of two children born to William Rowland pre the Boer War.  William served in the Boer War and according to the records was discharged in Cape Town (where his children were baptised).

My Gt. Aunt, according to my Mother used to write to someone in SA - so I am assuming that someone from the Rowland family was living there C1940 ish.  No record of William's death in either Scotland or Britain - so assuming he died in SA.  He was a mason by trade.

Has anyone found web sites which provide BMD for SA other than Family Search?  I did find the information for the records offices in SA but it didn't seem as if anything is digitalised at present at least for public searching.

Any ideas or suggestions would be welcomed. Thank you.
