john w clark/eliza bott - co durham
« on: Monday 10 August 15 14:37 BST (UK) »
Hi I am looking for any descendants of my great grandparents John w Clark and Eliza Bott. I was always under the impression that they had 8 sons but from my research I can find  5 boys and a girl all born from 1910 to 1914 ish. the names I have are Samuel, Edwin, Jane-Annie, Stanley, Ernest (my granddad) and William, who i believe my dad was named for. My granddad married Maud taylor and they lived in raby road, ferryhill. That generation seemed to loose touch and I didnt know any of that side of my family. I have found that they appeared in the 1911 UK Census on 2 Apr 1911 at 49 Rennie Street Dean Bank Ferryhill in Ferryhill, Sedgefield, Durham, England.

Marriage
Durham Apr 1899

John William CLARKE
Eliza Bott.
If you have the 1911 census you already have the names of 5 children.

William Clark registered Sedgefield Sept 1914 10a/376. MMS Bott

1901 census the family are in Tudhoe Durham with 11 month old Samuel, birth listed as Spennymoor. John born 1878 in Lanchester. Eliza  1879 in Derby.

If you go on the link, and have a play, you should be able to find the marriages of the six children, if of course they did marry, and once you have the wife's name, you can then search for any children with that. It is getting a little close for us to search as some of these people may be living.

Ok looking at the census for 1891 and 1881, there are several John Clark*'s  in the time frame. He is not the one with Irish Daniel as father ,Living in Kyo, because this John is living with his sister Margaret on the 1901 census.
