Hi wilson853,
I’m a descendant of the Pattons from Carrickananny ( my grandmother was called Eva Patton.)
I’m currently researching my family tree and we might be able to help each other.
My great grandfather was George Patton ( born 1855) and his father was also called George.
My great Uncle Willie was the last to own the family farm at Carrickananny and I’m still in touch with his daughter.

Thanks Kiltaglassan, great suggestions.

Wilson853,
My family always said that there were three Patton brothers who came here from Scotland.
I wonder if we share the same line?

For some reason, SO MANY families have this story about 3 (or 2, 4, etc.) brothers coming over from Scotland...
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
