Hi I am in NZ and am reaching back to my family in Ross and Cromarty! Roderick Finlayson b c 1836 in Lochalsh and married Christy (christina?) Nicolson b 1835 possibly Portree. Any info regarding the family and their parents etc would be so welcome. many thanks  Jennie

There are a few possible 1841/1851 Census for Roderick.

I would search Scotlandspeople for his Marriage/Death Cert which should have all the info you require
(it is very inexpensive)

Rook has probably been mistranscribed and is Rodk.
