Maurice Dalton Rapkin died at his home (34 Wineva Avenue) on Dec 20 1964.  He was a writer and producer.  Husband of the late Reta Lackey.

Reta's obituary is also in the paper.  She died at their home on Aug 25, 1964.  INterment St. Johns Norway cemetery.

Presume Maurice may have been married twice  (This was the first marriage - Maurice Dalton Rapkin (son of Hannah Dalton and Henry Josiah Rapkin) married Helen Ivadele Baker - 4 September 1923 York Ontario)

Found a newspaper article Jamestown NY Post Journal and also in the Philadelphia PA enquirer for a Thomas D Rapkin (son of Maurice) who was killed in a plane crash Dec 1960. Transworld airlines constellation which crashed on Staten Island New York.

East Liverpool Review Ohio - May 1952 - Student wins award - Thomas Rapkin nephew of Alice Anderson 533 College Street, a senior at Wittenberg College Springfield has been named special award winner in forensics for first place in the Ohio inter collegiate interpretative reading contest.  Rapkin a 1948 graduate of St Vincent Prep School Latrobe PA is majoring in philosophy. He is President of Pa Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

Maurice Rapkin aged 39 years, divorced (radio station manager) travelled with father Henry aged 65 years (store manager) from Havana Cuba to Key West Florida arriving 2 July 1938.

Wow Sandra...  great finds.

I have found some articles with photos of that horrible plane crash.  Among the Canadians listed as killed was Thomas D Rapkin of Columbus Ohio.  136 people died!!
