Yes I'm a newbie! Just trying to figure this site out. The info so far is great, I'm really pleased with all the help!

Mavis is my Nan and Beatrice is my great Nan. My Nans siblings are Joan, Geoff, Roma and John.

I don't really know much about Eric my great grandad.

There's a death for a 59 year old Eric Harman in the September quarter of 1963* in Bromsgrove. Eric married Beatrice in the March quarter of 1924 (in Alcester). Looks like his parents were Thomas Harold Harman and Pollie Parker, married Dec quarter 1899 in Alcester.

As his parents were married in 1899 they should appear on the 1901 and 1911 censuses which will be a start. The 1901 shows a Reginald aged 2 months.

Using the info you've found (ages and places of birth), you can now look back at the 1891 census (and backwards) and see if you can find Thomas and Pollie's parents....

I've been looking information today for Frank Aston, but I'm struggling to find anything. All I know is he married my nan Mavis Harman. Any suggestions? Thanks
