Help identifying where this place could be in Australia
« on: Monday 17 August 15 10:40 BST (UK) »
Hi,
This photo was taken of my brother somewhere in Australia.  He recently passed away and I am keen to find out where this photo may have been taken.

My first guess would be the Kimberleys in WA

My second third and fourth guesses would involve the Northern Territory or top end of WA

Somewhere in here

I would go with Kakadu and maybe he took this walking tour.

Maybe near Twin Falls on day 9 of the above itinerary.

Hi David,

Thank you for your help.  Is a strong possibility that the photo was taken here.  Although he did live in South Australia he did travel extensively throughout Australia.  He was not one to join tours but tended to drive places by himself and camp out.

Also Katherine Gorge ... and probably a few others. A date may help ... months ... the amount of water would mean it is not the wet.

I don't think it's Katherine Gorge.

But it's been a while since I was last there.

There is a walk from Katherine Gorge to Edith Falls... There is lots of it.

Carnarvon Gorge ... don't recall anything like that. Nor Kings Canyon.
