Her birth was registered as Louisa (no Jane) - as was her christening

This Louisa died in Dec 1860; the one in the censuses was born in Dec 1863; but she was also registered as just 'Louisa Napper'. It's a little surprising that none of her eleven children was given the name of either of her parents (if it is the right one).

The 1861 census has another Louisa Napper in Seavington, aged 1, daughter of Samuel and Sarah, who is in the 1871/81 censuses but appears to have married by 1891. She must be a candidate although her age is wrong and she was also registered as just 'Louisa Napper' (and her parents' names don't feature amongst the eleven either). At least she didn't have a sister called Jane!

I think she is most likely the same person.  Do you have a birth cert for any of the children confirming their mothers maiden surname.

Freereg has the bapt of the Louisa born 1858 and her burial age 2 in 1860.  It also has a baptism for another Louisa same parents
