Potter in Edney Common, near Chelmsford
« on: Monday 24 August 15 18:44 BST (UK) »
I am helping a Canadian friend with a British Home Children query.

We are looking for Elizabeth Potter who was born around 1870 in Edney Common.

She appears to have remained a single woman, but her three children were all sent to Canada.

What I am looking for at the moment is which parish church would have served the community at Edney Common please?

Thank you, SM ...

There is a tree on another site that seems to have some information.

I found the info about Highwood, but still could not find a parish church or the name of dedication. No chance of a St Mary's Edney Green then! Looks like it might be All Saints at Writtle .... I will persue that one.
