Hitting a brick wall
« on: Thursday 27 August 15 14:04 BST (UK) »
Trying to find birth for John William Whitehead, I have calculated year between 1875 and 1879 in Barnsley Yorkshire, He married Elizabeth Gunnell in 1906 age 27.
He died in Bradford 1940, In between his mother remarried and he became John William Lowe in 1911 census cannot trace the original birth to Thomas and Hannah Whitehead
Any help please.
Thanks

I saw a Hannah Whitehead marriage to Charles Lowe but she was a spinster and young so thought it was the wrong one - how old was Hannah when she married Thomas?

Having said that I think her father had a different surname implying she wasn't a spinster so if this is the right remarriage maybe JW was born under her fathers surname?

Will find it again as I could be getting mixed up  :-\
