What are you stuck with?  Going backwards to find their parents? Or going forward to see if they had more children and when they died?

If the former -Have you got the marriage cert? That will hopefully give names and occupations of their fathers.

If the latter - have you checked FreeBMD?

Hi, I can't find anything else on Rowland or Margaret. As far as i know they only had one child but again i can't seem to find anything. Looks like another certificate job.
Thanks for looking

Looking for Jones in Wales is probably always going to be a certificate job!
With no more info on them, not even a year of birth, there must be hundreds of possibilities and you will never know if you have found the right ones.

To be honest finding Jones was always going to be a cert job, but i was hoping to find the rough age of Matthews, but nothing. Unfortunately i have a habit of not seeing things despite staring at them. Certificate ordered  :)

Hello..... My Great Grandfather was Rowland Jones who married Margaret Matthews, they had 3 children in Rhymney. Dylys (1915) Victor (1917) and Glynn (????). They moved to Birmingham around 1938/40 ....when Victor married Julia Casburn (Sept 1940) I have not been able to find much on Ancestry.com .....but I have fotos of Rowland and Margaret, aswell as Dylys, Victor and Glynn. I live in Perth Western Australia so I find it difficult to access the info .....would love to contact to share more info.

Bye Karen

Hi Karen, I am actually doing my wife's tree at the moment, and after showing her your e-mail it appears you are related as Rowland was also her great grand father. My wife recalls having an uncle Vic and Glynn and she says that Victor and Julia lived in Redditch Worcestershire. She'd love to see any photo's you have especially as she only has one photo and that's of her grandmother (Dylys).

bye for now

Regards

Alan

Me again Karen, just looked at the tree I'd got so far and I have got the three on them on the tree, as you can see from the dates I do a bit then leave it then do a bit more and I obviously forgot to tell the wife  ::) Anyway I have got Victor as marrying Julia Florence Irene Webb, would this be the same person or have I got the wrong marriage?
