New York Marriage (Dearie Boyd)

In the 1891 census for the whole of Scotland I find no matches for Matilda Dearie (71 years old when she died in 1931), or William Dearie (born 1889), I searched for John Dearie in all districts of age between 20 and 40 years old I found four matches...
The first was 31 years old but unmarried (not him).
The seconds was 40 Years old but married to Jane and no son called William (not him).
the third was 30 years old and married to Catherine (not him).
The fourth was 20 and unmarried (not him).

Is Glasgow within striking distance to do a search on the 1891 by address?
You need a street index to do that though.

As has been suggested, Matilda's death certificate should provide another address to be searched on elctoral rolls.

yes, I have been on this site and I have found the parents of matilda boyd, but I am not really interested in at the moment I will follow that line at a later date.

Since you have ground to a halt with the father, get everything you can about Matilda, then you may glean  useful details on her to help locate Wm Dearie.
