Did she marry?

I am trying to find a marriage between Lavinia Charlotte ALLEN born 1851 in Oundle and John CASSIDY. 
1871 census - she is still single and living in Oundle.
1881 census - unable to find her
1891 census - she is 40 and a widow and is living with her 3 children in Ashton-under-Lyne.

Any help would be appreciated re the marriage and also about John Cassidy.

How do you know she married John Cassidy - do you have one of the children's birth certificates? When and where was the oldest child born?

Groom - I have found the name of John Cassidy from the baptism records of St Michael, Ashton-under-Lyne - all 3 baptised on 12 December 1886.
Mary Lavinia Cassidy, born 1876
Lizzie Ella Cassidy, born 1878
Nellie Cassidy - born 1886.

Does it give an occupation as he obviously wasn't there in 1881 and i can't see any marriages?

Did you see on the 1891 census there is an older daughter - Emily C Allen 19, but that would make her 9 in 1881, the same age as Mary is given. However on the baptism, Mary is born 1876, so she'd be 5 in 1881 not 9! Has to be the same family, perhaps they weren't any good with dates. Where is Emily in 1881 as well?

Might Emily be the child transcribed as Emily Wellen in 1881? There is a baptism in Oundle for Emily Charlotte Allen Sept 15th 1872 - mother Lavinia Charlotte Allen (no occupation given).
