beginner - searching for McDONNELL

OK so I've never tried looking before but I'm interested to find out a little more on Mt grandads side of the family there surname mcdonnell, max bygraves was he's cousin if that helps born in bermondsey, I know my great grandparents were irish I mean where do I begin  :-\ ???. Xxx

Do you know where there graves  are?

Have you got your mums birth certificate?

Do you know which cemetery your grandfather is buried in?

Max Bygraves parents were Henry and Lillian nee McDonnell born 16/10/1922 parents married in London 1919.

Have you tried to find the Mc Donnell on the Census
Do you know what part of Ireland that your Mc Donnells lived.
The 1901 and 1911 Irish census are online.

Do you know where there graves  are? I know there all buried together I'm sure it's honor oak cemetery.

Have you got your mums birth certificate? My grandads name was Ronald mcdonnell he was cremated on 11th October 2013, he had 3 brothers Johnny, Billy and Thomas or Tommy,  he also had a sister francie.
