As you said Jan they are on safari but not google chrome - and now I've lost the google chrome app somewhere, its just disappeared.  Doesn't help that I'm a  "technophobe"  ::)

Well I have them on iPad with safari, but I just got a message " the server is under to much pressure to show all unread posts"

Let's see if there is a pattern to this to get you smiling again :)

What device are you not seeing smilies on, and what operating system & version is it running? What browser, and version number are you running?

When did this behaviour begin?

Does it always happen?

Does it happen when your on your own home wifi and when you're not (or does it happen when you are connected one way or another)

Can you see other people's smilies in their posts? Here's one from me: :)
