Searching for the grave of my 3x Grandfrather
« on: Tuesday 22 September 15 17:45 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I am searching for the grave of my 3x Grandfather, Percy Shakespeare Dyson. He passed away 18.12.1944 in St Mary Abbots Hospital, Marloes Road, Kensington, London W8. I tried to find his grave via ancestry, find my past, find a grave, but no success. Any ideas where to search now?
Thank you in advance for your help

Ilona

Hi Ilona

Do you know where his wife or parents were buried?  Could he be with any of them - family plot?

There are a number of possibilites

Mortlake Crematorium

http://www.mortlakecrematorium.org/

North Sheen Cemetery (which is next to Mortlake Crem)

http://www.lbhf.gov.uk/directory/community_and_living/birth_marriage_and_death/burial_and_cremation/10968_cemeteries_and_burials.asp?LGNTF=32

and others on the Hammersmith & Fulham site. There are contact details for help with locating a grave.

I tried www.deceasedonline.com  to see if he wes buried at Brompton or Kensal Green but no results there either.

Kensington & Chelsea run 2 cemeteries, Hanwell is on the other side of the road to the Westminster one and they are separate

Let us know how you get on.
