« on: Saturday 26 September 15 13:54 BST (UK) »
Looking for information on George Robert Mitchell a native of England who came to Newfoundland and married Rebecca Willey on Nov 28/ 1816 in Burin and later died in Mud cove, Newfoundland on December 22/ 1857 at age 66.  This would have George born abt 1792 in England and arriving in Newfoundland in the early 1800's before his marriage at age 25 to Rebecca Willey. On several Methodist Baptism records in Burin, George Robert Mitchell is list trade or profession has Planter.
They had several children who names are Elizabeth Mitchell ,Richard Mitchell, Amos Mitchell, Ruth Mitchell, Mary Ann Mitchell, George Mitchell, Francis Kerby Mitchell, {Joseph Willie Mitchell who is my gg grandfather} & Benjamin Mitchell.

Any information on George Robert Mitchell or Rebecca Willey would be appreciated.

Regards
Tom
