kings County

I have information about Mary Donovan being from Kings County - Ireland. (Daughter if Phil and Kate Donovan - sister of Anita Candy) - my question is - how do I find out what the town is called now? Kings county doesn't appear on current maps.

Called (County) Offaly since the 1920s.

Are you aware of the 1901 and 1911 Irish census being available online?

If you look at the Ireland board on RootsChat, under Forum, you can see that Kings County and Queens County have been identified.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Given that Philip didn't leave Ireland 'til the 1880's then this is possibly a son of his.

First name(s)    Philip G
Last name    Donovan
Registration year    1879
Registered quarter/year    Jan - Mar 1879
Registration district    Parsonstown
