Wording on a death certificate
« on: Monday 28 September 15 19:02 BST (UK) »
Hi
I have just received a death certificate and the address where the person died states 24 Mundy Street U.S.D or it could be H.S.D.  It was in 1888, in Derby County of Derby.  This is not where she lived so am assuming she was visiting.  Does anyone know what the initials mean!!  Sorry if I am being a bit thick.  Thanks

Yes it was Hannah Ricketts (who died) and her son who was there at time of death registered it William Ricketts.  She must have been visiting as someone else lived there according to the census.  I thought maybe it was some sort of hospital but it isn't.

it's a while until the next census after she died. More than enough time for the family to move. Is the same address given for William?

No William lives at 21... could be Nuns Street Derby I cannot read it properly.  But if it is Nuns street I think it runs by Mundy street.
