Any help please looking to see if Arthur Hughes born I just been told 6th march 1894 we think in Chester uk
 Married Annie Jones 24 may 1920 ( Annie was born in 1894 ) in Chester uk
Was in the army at all maybe in east lancashire regiment

Have you checked his occupation on his marriage cert in case it shows his regiment etc?

There are 8 registrations in the March qtr 1894, for Artur Hughes, and another 10 in the June qtr.

Was he just Arthur or did he have a middle name.  The only WW1 record is for an Arthur David Hughes b St Oswalds Cheshire - that's where your Arthur married in 1920

I'm not saying he was Arthur David - just that the only WW1 record is for an Arthur David Hughes.  There are many others for an Arthur Hughes but without enough detail in them to determine if it's the right one
