Family Search says

St Peter's Church, Little Budworth is in the village of Little Budworth, Cheshire, England ... Its benefice is combined with that of St Mary, Whitegate (no dates).

Regarding you asking about few Marriages, perhaps the Vicar favoured holding the Marriages at his other church?

Mark

According to Genuki - Little Budworth

Church History
It was founded in 1561.

Church History
The ancient parish church for the township of Little Budworth.

On 27 October 1971 the district was united with that of Whitegate: St. Mary, to form the combined district of "Whitegate with Little Budworth".

I had left Little Budworth by this date!  :-*

Both Little Budworth and Whitegate came under the parish of St Chad, Over (in Winsford).

Hi BumbleB

According to your reply 10, my comment is not relevant for 1800.

Take care, Mark

As far as I know only in London.....however we don't know.  She had a baby the following year and the father of the baby was supposed to be an American called Fisk/Fiske. I have tracked a John Fiske down who knew Sir Philip and Charkes Darwin... their are some in the family who say the master of the house was the father of the baby, my Grgrandmother!

Unfortunately, it would not have been unknown for the "master" to be the father of the "servant's" child, but then that might be nothing more than fiction.

Have you found your Ggrandmother's birth registration and baptism?  Do they give you any clues?

OK, so the birth certificate shows the place of birth as the address of Sir Philip Grey Egerton!  And Queen Charlottes as the place of birth    :-\

It isn't hard to confuse me  :-[
