Hi, can anyone tell me what the likely registration district would be for someone born in Marstow in the mid 1850s please. Could it be Ross?

Yes, it would be Ross. FamilySearch's  1851 Jurisdictions site is a useful too for finding out registration districts and more besides http://maps.familysearch.org/
