need help to trace birth cert of great gran

i wonder if anyone can help me  am looking for my great gran birth record/cert but unable to find anything i have her marriage and death certs, i have searched ancestry and scotlands people but nothing anyone know what i can do?? ??? ???

Tell us her name, and all the other details and dates you have about her (and her parents), so we can have a look!

her name was margaret mcdonald date of birth on her death cert is 17/05/1904 death 09/10/1969 her married names henry and gallacher, her mum margaret (maggie) McGilvary born abt 1869 death 28/11/1934 her dad alexander McDonald born abt 1854 and death abt 1936.

You were told on your other thread that she was born prior to her parent's marrying.

Did you follow up on the help that you were already given ?

hi yeah myself and my second cousin who also has been searching cannot find anything on her he thinks she might have been adopted as she would have been 9 when they got married however he was a widower when he got married that means she may have been his child but been adopted by maggie mcgilvary. i just dont know where to look and how to start looking into that.

There is also the option that she was Maggie's daughter and that Alexander adopted her.

Did you look for them on the 1911 census using all the variations ?

i havent looked at that yet myself but my cousin said he couldnt find any
