I've noticed that you have the request under" For topics and boards I've requested email notifications on, notify me"  show Instantly but only show the first reply, have been ticked.

I have mine set to INSTANTLY....

Hope that works

Carol

So have I, that at least proves that this sub-forum is one that generates notifications.

I PMd Sarah as groom suggested and so now her attention is drawn to this thread.

Thanks for all your replies. I didn't have any email notifications of your replies this morning but checked under the "new replies" button....... which simply will not work for me long term as I will forget to look there.  :)

Thanks for checking your setting Carol and mine is now changed to instantly.

Very interesting that you're also having problems jebber. That makes it look even more like a system error rather than me being thick. Did you also tick to unsubscribe on an email and how do you have your settings?
Best wishes HL

Have you also ticked the Notify button at the bottom of each page you are wanting to see replies on??  I think you might need to do this to back up your settings?

This thread has Unnotify at the bottom of it. I suppose I could press that and then press notify again and see what  happens.

Can't make things any worse  :)

P.S. I've done just that and also pressed notify on the thread that I didn't want any more emails on, so "watch this space"
Best wishes HL

No  :'(   but thanks for your reply groom

In the first place I clicked on the bottom part of the email notification and that took me to a message which said "sorry you are leaving us". I knew I'd done something wrong because RC won't get rid of me that easily   :)

Let's hope Sarah or Trystan can sort me out  :)
Best wishes HL
