I have pretty confidently traced my mother's side of the ARRAND family back to early 1800's and have now run out of clues. My mother was June Arrand b.1920, her father Sidney Arthur Arrand b 1896, his father George Henry Arrand b 1865 and his father Samuel Arrand b 1826. (Samuel married Anne Whelpton, lived a long life (d 92 y.o. and is buried in Grimsby with his wife Anne), had a long career with the railways and was born in 1826 to parents Robert Arrand and mother called Mary in Winteringham. The circumstances of his birth and about his mother interests me. He had one sibling called Thomas b 1828.
If anyone has Arrand's from Grimsby or Winteringham in their family tree I would love to know.,
