My son used to live in Hardwick and moved recently to the next village. I am visiting in 2 weeks time and will see if Pakistan is still there. I know St. Neot's Road, the other road through the village which goes past the church leads to Toft.  If I can find it I will take some photos.

I walked the length of St Neot's Road yesterday but found no evidence of a bungalow called Pakistan. Although I expected the house to be renamed I was hoping for an old gatepost stone.  There are many bungalows from the era you are interested in which could be the one you are researching. If you get information from the parish council about its exact location and if it is still there I will willingly return for photos.

Thanks for this Scoop but as Laura who made this request hasn't contributed to the thread for two years maybe she has found all she wanted to know. I will look to satisfy my own curiosity.
Thanks again.

Thanks very much Sue222 and Sc00p.

This has thread has puzzled me for a long time. I am intrigued as to how you came across this fabulous info - all my efforts have fallen short!  :(

Once again, thank you.

My apologies to everyone.

I hit the large wall of frustration and walked away from research for awhile...a very long while.

I'd like to thank everyone for looking or this mysterious bungalow.

Maybe it was just a family nickname and not posted on the building itself.

Hi Laura,

Yes it can be quite exasperating. Good to hear from you. ;D
