Tracing Irish Ancestors and Birth of Margaret Whelan

Hello,

I posted a chat about James F Bayley that included his mother Margaret Bayley (née Whelan) but I'd like to continue this line.

I don't know why I believed Margaret's birth to be 1894, I think it seemed logical as that would fit the marriage age and a death. However, there are two other death records on FreeBMD that give a Margaret Bayley's (née Whelan) birth as 1889 and 1897. Another on Ancestry states a death in 1948, but unfortunately I cannot look at the birth. These are from Crewe, as I know this is where she died, and I know she is from Ireland, but it's a very broad range of births.

How would I find out which is correct and how to continue tracing my Irish ancestors?

Thanks,

Are you just looking at vital records and assuming that on or any might be the correct Margaret Whelan?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi There

You were given great help last year with Margaret's marriage.

I presume you got her marriage cert back then.

Can you please post all the details from the cert ?!

Thanks
