Gerd Edwin Paul Kaess
« Reply #63 on: Wednesday 02 September 20 17:48 BST (UK) »
The medical reason Gerd Edwin Paul Kaess (1947-1972) had for not serving in the Bundeswehr was based on a physical illness or hospital stay when he was 12 years old. It was not psychological in nature.
Unrelated, Arnhild Kaess states that the reason her brother Gerd Edwin Paul Kaess left for America is that he wanted more independence. Also, he had psychological issues with his step mom Hildegard Golz (1924-2004).

Paul Ernst Kaess vinyard lookup
« Reply #68 on: Tuesday 12 January 21 21:11 GMT (UK) »
Martin Heim of Germany says he had the pleasure of being with Paul Ernst Kaess in the vinyard one year before he died. As far as he knows, Paul sold the vinyard. Martin cannot locate the vinyard without a parcel number or being taken physically to the vinyard. If he could have someone in Benningen show him the vinyard, then he could find the parcel number and owner.

Paul Ernst Kaess & Emil Kaess Guild Record documents
« Reply #69 on: Monday 18 January 21 19:49 GMT (UK) »
On January 18, 2021, Brian Paul Kaess received a batch of 18 documents/scans for two Carpentry Guild files from the Staatsarchiv Ludwigsburg, in Ludwigsburg, Germany. The signature or file numbers for the two files were EL 902/15 Bü 1083 (for Paul Ernst Kaess) (16 scans) and EL 901/15 Bü 12 (for Emil Kaess) (2 scans). Many of these documents in the first file (Paul Ernst Kaess) were similar to a Denazification File received two years earlier in 2019. It appears, at this stage, that Denazification File documents were thrown into the Guild Record  file.

The documents for Paul Ernst Kaess Guild Record are loaded at the following link: https://brian-paul-kaess.webnode.co.uk/documents/

The documents were given various names corresponding to their content, etc.; Arbeitsblatt, Arbeitsblatt Stamps, Arbeitsblatt Stamps 2, Income & Asetts, Check List, Check List 2, Contents, Correspondence, Cover, Denanazification Registration Form, Essay, Foreign Service, Meldebogen, , Meld 2, Miltary Service, Party Info, Meldebogen Emil Kaess, Meldebogen 2 Emil Kaess.

Emil Kaess is mentioned as a 'Schreiner' or Carpenter in his registration form or Meldebogen. It also shows that he was not a member of the Nazi party or NSDAP. His birthday is 15.10.1889. Born in Benningen.
