Sorry - very confusing post

Your post is asking to trace James Nicholson - is this the James occ joiner on the Liverpool marriage cert dated 1845??

No details included of who Ellen married - but it was Stanley Gregory

If Ellen was born Holyhead - have you found a James Nicholson occ joiner in the 1841?

Where was Ellen in 1841?

Basically - apart from a name and occupation there is nothing else to identify "James".  If Eleanor/Ellen was 25 in 1851 then she was only 19 when she married

You don't mention that there is a 15yr old Eleanor in the household but occupation does not match to 1845 marriage?

Have you checked Jared out on the 1851 for a change of occ?

EDIT - he is a porter in 1851

The image lists her parents as Jarrad and Judith Nicholson. He is listed as a labourer and their address is Waterside - Edit I can't see another baptism for an Ellen/Eleanor

Jared married as Jared (apart from the mis-transcription) not as James

I think Eleanor/Ellen's father is Jared Nicholson  and the father's name of James quoted is an error or mistranscription.

Jared Nicholson and Judith Owen (both otp) were married in Holyhead 25 Oct 1816. There are a series of baptisms at Holyhead between 1817 and 1840 of the children of this marriage, including Eleanor baptized 16th March 1825 as already mentioned.
There are variations in the spelling and transcribing of both Jared and Judith's names, including
James for Jared (baptism of Margaret Nicholson Feb 1837). There is also an illegitimate birth of Robert, son of Jared Nicholson and Sidney Williams in June 1813 where his name has been transcribed as James.

Jared Nicholson died 13 Nov 1870, age 79, at 3 Hibernia Row, Holyhead. He was described as a railway labourer. The informant was Ellen Gregory of the same address.
Judith Nicholson died 5 Dec 1865, age 70, at Hibernia Road, Holyhead. She was described as the wife of labourer Jaret Nicholson. The informant was Martha Jones also of Hibernia Road, Holyhead.

Jared appears to have been a bit of a handful

Jared Nicholson was charged by Emma Owen his mother-in-law of being drunk and of using a threatening language. Bound to keep over the peace, himself, in £10 and two sureties £5 each

The North Wales Chronicle and Advertiser for the Principality, 1st October 1864

Drunk and riotous. Jared Nicholson was charged by the police with having been drunk on the 20th instant. Superintendent Owen proved the offence, and the accused was committed for seven days' imprisonment, with hard labour.
