Jane Brown nee Maguire remarried to a James McEwan 3/7/1871 St. Aloysius, Glasgow (according to online tree) and as Jane McEwan she died indeed die in 1890, Milton, Glasgow (other names shown in death index are Brown and Maguire).

The tree I viewed also states her parents were Hugh Maguire and Ruth Strong.

Suspect the families here were probably Catholic.
