My dads older brother George Arthur was killed in Belgium a couple of days before his 19 birthday or so i was told. The second eldest son of Thomas Arthur Brown and Agnes May Brown of Cheadle Cheshire.
He had an older brother Ronnie who survived the war and 3 younger siblings my dad being the next eldest after him, a sister and younger brother which he never knew. Only my dad is living.
I was told he was blown up after the man in front of him stepped on a land mine.
He has a grave marker at Jonkerbos Cemetery.
He is named on the Cenataph at Cheadle Green and in St Mary's Church Cheadle. A strange thing to say although i never knew him dad and I miss him terribly.
Forgot to say the photo is of his older brother Ronnie sadly we have no photos of Uncle Arthur.
