Frederick Sellers baptism 1847/48
« on: Friday 27 November 15 07:46 GMT (UK) »
Hi Folks

I am looking for the parents of Frederick Sellers born 3rd quarter 1847, registration district Axminster, born in  Lyme Regis, I cannot find him or his family on the 1851,1861 or 1871 census,  I have tried using a wild card for the surname for both Dorset and Devon, does anyone have access to the Baptismal records  for this area please and can look up his baptism, I think his father may have been Richard as I found  his marriage entry on Find my Past, but his baptismal entry was not on Find my Past, there is always the possibility he may not have been baptised at all.

Any help very much appreciated

Many thanks

Frederick doesn't seem to be with the family in 1861, but Richard and Eliza are still in Lyme

In 1871 he's back at the draper's shop assisting Eliza who has been widowed. She is also postmistress, which frederick took over on later censuses.

Richard's baptisms in 1810 gives his parents as Richard and Susannah (R.S. married S. Norman in 1808), and later baptisms to this couple show him to be a baker.

Both he (age 65) and Susannah (57) are on the 1841 census, although he died two years later.

Richard
