Hi ism new to this.
My great grand father Richard butcher born to Charles and Sophia butcher in 1859. I can find no record  of Charles butcher in census returns or death records.born approx. 1810 married1839 anyone any idea. Charles was a silk floor clothes printer

Richard appears to be in Middlesex in some kind of boarding school for young children in 1861

How do you know Charles was born about 1810?

If Charles and Sophia married in 1839 - that would mean Richard was born 20yrs after the marriage.  Not impossible but presumably Charles and Sophia had older children?

Richard Butcher married Florence Nightingale Smith 18 Dec 1881 St Luke Hackney , father Charles Butcher , floor cloth printer - I presume this is your Richard.

I also found Henry Butcher , father Charles floor cloth maker , marrying 16 Apr 1876 St Peter's Bethnal Green, Harriet Mann  -  Richard's brother ?
