Hi Maggsie

Thank you for your posts, very helpful stuff.

Bryan May was apparently a blacksmith. Bridget his wife is a mystery. They had a daughter Bridget who was born in the 1850's  according to relatives. Not sure where but thought maybe Sligo!

Is it May or Fallen/Fallon?
There is a Bryan May the only one in Sligo, paying rent on 6 land entries.

Oooops, sorry it's me, I just read the first bit on your thread.

ok, Bryan May is in Sligo, go to Griffiths Valuation just put may Bryan and enter.
The list will show, go to each record to get the town land names.
Too many to copy.
ok

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Found out more from relatives.

Dennis Fallen died in 1904, Glasgow aged 66. I think he must have been older given he married in Jan 1842 see above.

Bridget his wife died earlier in 1891/

Patrick their son died in 1915. They also had another son Owen who married a Sarah Gallagher in 1869 in Scotland.
