Did the marriage record for William's son Thomas to Mary Ann show William as alive?

He's not noted as 'deceased' on the m/c

Free BMD has a good possibility in

William Lilley, 47, died Shoreditch 1883, & an
Ellen Lilley, 47, died Bethnal Green 1885.

Perhaps someone has records for these deaths that show more details.

Found this for William but sadly nothing for Ellen

William Lilly age 47 died at 1.47pm, reason intestinal obstruction
Death 1 Apr 1883 St Leonard Shoreditch
Register Type:   Parish Register

bramcor, when Thomas married Mary Ann in 1890, William was still alive if the marriage cert. is to be believed.

Thomas finished his military service in 1893, his papers obviously updated at this time show his 1890 marriage and his next of kin as Father William. Odd that hasn't been amended.

Hi, it's been a while.... William Lilley and Ellen Baker married in Shoreditch in 1857. My copy of the certificate shows William's father as William Lilley (Deceased) profession Sailor. Can anyone corroborate that info for me please? I have had several certificates that differ from the originals so it could be wrong.

Thanks gang, Hope you're all safe and well
