Goldicote-baptism-Swalcliffe?
« on: Monday 14 December 15 15:34 GMT (UK) »
:D Hello to all the good folks of this board, can a kind person help?

Baptism for Mary Goldicote, circa 1680, parents siblings etc probably at Swalcliffe.

Rant ::)... If you're on "Angstry" please protest at the new i-pad/i-phone version imposed on those of us who are serious about genealogy, seems we can take a running jump?  :'(

Morning Nigel

I can see Mary getting married there in 1706 but no baptism.

In fact No baptisms ever by that name nor any burials.

Therefore I would suggest she was from somewhere other than Swalcliffe.

Hello Nigel, once again thank you for your interest.

It was along shot, I was looking for a starting point in the search for my Goldicote roots. Not many about so it seems. I assume "not in Swalcliffe" does not mean, not in Oxon.

The seasons greetings

Regards Nigel

Hi Nigel

To check all of Oxfordshire you will need to ask the Oxfordshire Family History Society to do a look up in their Baptism index for the county.
Then we can look at specifics when we know which parish it took place in but of course Swalcliffe is close to the Northamptonshire and Warwickshire boarders so you may be going over the boarder in your search on this one!

Happy Christmas
