I think I can confidently predict that Ancestry simply won't change!
Petition or no petition!

Ancestry is a business, not a democratic institution ;)

Considering we've known since August that they were changing, not many people have signed!

I'm afraid I'm with you KG, Ancestry aren't going to change back, they will have invested too much money in the new site.

Business or no business, we have a democratic  right to voice our opinion, I have seen many changes over the years on Ancestry, and adapted to all of them, but  this is a step too far, it may look very pretty, but the search engine is next to useless

If that is the case why does the petition not mention it.
The petition states
"We, the undersigned, hereby sign this petition to acknowledge that we, do not like the look, style, color, and format and prefer the use of Ancestry.com "Classic" versus NEW ancestry. "

Now I could be wrong but that says to me the petitioners do not like the look and layout of the new site and nothing about the main complaint the way the search engine works.

Cheers
Guy

But funnily enough, some of the 'back-room' pages you can reach from places such as FAQs, still follow the old-style appearance.  Maybe they haven't got round to them yet - or have forgotten they exist ....

Quite so Marg, although I can't  agree about the prettiness.

Signed, no matter who thinks it a waste of time.
