Domestic servants - living in
« on: Sunday 20 December 15 20:53 GMT (UK) »
HI,
I am researching my grandparents story and I know from my  mother they had live in help but she cannot remember names. this is the 1930's and 40's. I have looked in the electoral registers but no listing. Either they were under age or my grandfather didn't add them or they weren't there at the time. I have looked at the 1939 Register and there are some blacked out  more than I would expect for the family. This is in Leicester.

Are there any other records I should look at?

It's more likely they were underage.  Many females  went into service on leaving school in those days
