Cousins family of Reevanagh
« on: Sunday 27 December 15 19:24 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Looking for information on Catherine Cousins family. She married a Michael Malone of Reevanagh townland, Co Kilkenny in 1836. The marriage record spells her surname Cozens and a witness as John Cozens (her father or brother?). In 1841 she had a son Patrick in Reevanagh and her surname is spelled Cussins on his birth record. In the Griffith valuation of 1850 there is a Walter Cousins listed in Reevanagh. Also a Walter Cousins died in Co Kilkenny in 1874 aged 76.

Any info on this Cousins family?

Thanks, J

Hi,
I have searched with the Catherine's info on the marriage.
Her Parish was Gowran on the marriage record.
I have her birth and a Michael and James.
Searching by the 1901 census and 1911 I see Michael has a son called Walter.
I also have other info.
Maggsie

Hi Maggsie,

Can you send me the info on Catherine's birth please? I have no idea who her parents were.

Thanks, J

Thank you but the Walter Cousins you have linked to is of a more recent generation. I'm looking for Walter Cousins, born about 1798. I have been able to find a marriage record but not much else.
