Thank you for the explanation Bookbox it has enabled me to find the marriage details of Ludovici and Anna Owen.

I did a search on 'findmypast' using the name Ludovicus Owen and amongst the results was a  Lewis Owen.

"Lewis Owen and Anne Jones married at Llanddyfnan on the 2nd July 1704".

This was the right location as his son Gulielmus (William) had his daughter baptised at Llanddyfnan in 1754.
