Do you have a copy of the marriage cert which will give the names of their respective fathers?

Have you looked for them on the 1871 or 1881 censuses to establish their birthplaces and John's birthyear

Hi ,yes I do have a little more info ,but I was hoping that person with username of tegan would get in touch. Tegan put some posts on about 6 or 7 years ago Re. Lewis and thomas families which caught my attention.

In 1874,John Lewis living with wife ann and children at the old brickyard,Furnace,Llanelly.by 1891 living in old castle road,Llanelly,carms.
