Ernest Robert Jennings Perry 1876-1932
« on: Saturday 02 January 16 23:58 GMT (UK) »
I was wondering if anyone had information or pictures of Ernest Robert Jennings Perry. He was born about 1876 in Sussex or possibly Yorkshire. According to Ancestry records he was born in Sussex and according to family member he was a Yorkshire man.

He married Ada Maynard in 1900 and had several children: Lilian, Ivy (my great grandmother), Gertrude, Violet, Ernest, Rose, and possibly a George who died quite young.

According to Ancestry, he was in the military in 1911. His daughter, Ivy, married a military man, Archibald Joseph Gough, and they may have been in the same regiment, Royal Warwickshire Regiment.

His parents were possibly Joseph Perry and Elizabeth Jennings.

He died in 1932 in Warwick. A relative said he died of throat cancer.

Hi

If you've not done so already you might like to purchase Joseph Perry's service records from the National Archives. Looking at the CG records for Elmer CG Station, Bognor District (ADM 175/68 pdf 243) Joseph was born on 12 January 1836, from this you will be able to select the two records of particular interest to you: http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/results/r?_st=adv&_aq=joseph%20perry&_cr1=adm%20139&_cr2=adm%20188&_dss=range&_ro=any&_p=1800.

The ADM 139 record covers his pre 1873 service and the ADM 188 post 1873.
