Many of the Lichfield Wills are viewable on FindMyPast, although whether the dataset is complete remains to be seen. They are scans of the Wills or Admons, not transcripts, and indexed.

There are two sets on FindMyPast - one "Lichfield consistory Court 1650 - 1700", which gives a transcription page of the index - no information from the will; (hopefully these dates will be extended).
and two, the "Dioceses of Lichfield and Coventry wills and probate 1521 - 1860", which when you click on 'image' goes to an image of the index book - added: Have just found there seems to be a second entry in the listing for the same person, (not necessarily together), and this one will give you the actual will. Sometimes there is only one entry which takes you to the index book.

One benefit I can see having them indexed on FindMyPast,
On the Staffordshire Names Index on Lichfield RO's own site, name searches have to be specific, so you have to try many different spellings for the surname, whereas FindMyPast will do a 'sounds like' search which is very helpful.

Archdeacon of Richmond & Chester peculiars under Archbishop of York  -Try Leigh Archives/ Preston country records office/ Manchester Archives or Matlock archive office Derbyshire for North Nottinghamshire division

possible ?

- Lincoln  archives for South Nottinghamshire division

- Matlock archives - West Nottinghamshire division

Guild Hall London may also have info on Nott's Wills
In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth
