 ??? happy new year,
any body have any information on my g g grandparents Bernard & Margaret toner born: Ulster
Circa 1800's -particularly Margaret's maiden name.They are on the 1841Wigton census as Toner but after that it becomes Turner(not a clerical error !) I would be interested to hear from any Toner's .Thank you Jimmy t♥ps.they moved to Cumberland and were on  the Wigton Census...believed they were previously from Belfast(Antrim)

Ulster is a Province so covers quite a large area. In order to trace the family you'll need a more exact location (parish is not actual townland) not just the county.

Where are they on 1841 census?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi Tonerbourne,I'm aToner too.... Barnarnd .
I believe the difference in pronunciation of said name's
Was secterianism... the Catholics pronounced it Barnard
The Protestant's Bernard.
